codec2 software package provides command line tools for handling Codec2 data, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install codec2
codec2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the codec2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep codec2 *
You will get with codec2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
